Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to two actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. The parents of her did not want her to pursue acting until she became an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry acknowledged that she was not confident in her acting during high school, but started performing as a means to make friends during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University, relocated in New York in search of acting roles on television. Her small part was on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness drove her to California in search of theater jobs. Her mother and she appeared on Broadway together in The Other Place, in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was performed at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry appeared in nine episodes of The Family, an ABC drama The Family in 2016. Perry was also featured in a role on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. She also played the younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The role was given by audition even though she is a relative with the role.
